To start we ordered several Cocktails: Spice Trade (4/5) (interesting enough, I would highly recommend…a unique taste), White Russian/Tall with heavy Cream (5/5) ( Really Yummy), Mind Haze/Hazy IPA on Tap (4.5/5). I must say…Bill’s service for the entire evening was SPOT ON! Kudos Bill, we so enjoyed and appreciated your professionalism, warmth and humor! (Remember, the BRICK is NOT Italian!) The Bread was fresh and warm. Our Server for the evening, Bill, presented with a welcoming SMILE and Bread Service for the table. A very attractive enclosed Wine Room (well stocked) made me curious enough to draw me towards it after being seated…go have a look, it’s amazing. The interior of Ember is an open concept with an open Kitchen (the huge Pizza Oven, and an “open fire”Grill will draw your attention), several dining areas surrounding the Bar and on an elevated floor towards the back. Greeted by many as we entered, our party of 4, was seated immediately. Approaching the venue, and ultimately being aware of the praises of Ember, I felt my anticipation heighten. Let me begin, TripAdvisor review Readers, by stating that Ember in A.G. But at the end of the evening, I have to say, I probably would not return just because I shouldn't have to work this hard to have a meal. And I knew lots of people visiting the area love this restaurant. I knew from reading reviews that we might be prompted to leave before we were ready. Maybe not hiccup #5 but I was a little insulted that we had been made to wait nearly half an hour for our table and were now being rushed out. When the server returned with the corrected bill he politely requested we leave as soon as possible because they had others waiting. When the bill came we noticed they had charged us for a bottle of wine we had not ordered. We finished the night with a couple of shared deserts and waited for the bill. The other couple decided to split the slow braised lamb ragu. My wife and I shared the pappardelle with beef and pork Bolognese. The server admitted he had forgotten to enter it into the system. Hiccup #2.įor an appetizer my wife and I agreed to split the wild chanterelle toast (it was excellent). There are only 7 entrees on the menu and swordfish was the only fish. There were no specials and one item, the swordfish, had sold out. We started with cocktails as we perused the menu. on this busy Saturday night so we had no expectations of getting to our table by 6:15 but I will say I had the expectation of getting there before 6:40pm!
